About Us
The Macon County Chamber of Commerce was chartered in March 1963 and is a non-profit 501(c)(6) organization formed to promote economic development in the county. The purpose of the Chamber is to advance the general welfare and prosperity of Macon County so its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper.
The Chamber receives its funding through the membership of a dedicated business community and, additionally, a percentage of our funds come from the City of Lafayette, City of Red Boiling Springs, and Macon County. Because a portion of our funding comes from tax dollars, our Board of Directors has a strong commitment to the community.
It is the mission of the Macon County Chamber of Commerce to be dedicated to our members and the community; to be a primary business advocate and resource center; and to provide excellence in service to our members and pro-active leadership to the community through innovation and integrity.
